Video Productions
The ultimate class at Groves High School. Every single person has taken it and it's loved by all. The Video Productions class, taught by Mr. McLaren is informational, fun, and interesting. It is very interesting to learn about the different types of equipment and also the different computer programs used to edit and produce the videos. We produce the school news show and make funny videos that are later presented to the rest of the class. I believe that Video Productions should be taken by students all over the country due to the fact that it is a great learning experience for high school, but also for later in life. Mr. McLaren is a major reason definitely a prime reason why the class is so enjoyable. This is why Video Productions is an incredible class.

I also agree that Video Productions is a great asset to the arsenal of classes that are offered at Groves High School. I believe that the unique way of instruction in that class is one of the better ways to teach students. Hands off and let the students learn through the trial and error method instead of being spoon fed the information. It is such a strong class that I also believe we should all be expected to take the class.
ReplyDeleteThis class is a "must take" for Groves students. The class is mainly led by the students which opens the door for them to use their creativity. I have yet to take video productions but I will be taking it in my third trimester here at Groves. The Fan which is the biggest part of video productions is the morning announcements and it's not ordinary to say the least. Students make videos for upcoming spirit week days, for homecoming, prom, sadies, and other videos just to entertain the Groves community. The Fan is something people look forward to every second hour because it's funny and gives a small break from class. Video productions overall is a great class and highly recommended.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree that video productions is at the top of the list as one of Groves best classes. The class provides a good break from the stiff academic rigor of a usually school day. Mr. Mclaren is a great hands on teacher and teaches students how to work with and manipulate technology. The class also gives students a place to work on their public speaking skills in front of a camera. If students don't feel comfortable being on air in front of the camera, there are plenty of other jobs that allows the student to be involved in. This class is a must take for all Groves students.
ReplyDeleteI do agree video productions is an absolute sleeper on the schedule "resume." Groves is known for their creative, innovating electives and this fits right into that category. it gives you the advanced knowledge of technology in the world such as media, television, anchoring, and video making skills. These are essentials in the modern technology today. I also enjoy the great fun, energetic Mr. McClaren. He is a positive spirited guy who enjoys his job and appreciates the idea of having fun while learning in a class. Also, we have plenty of time do socialize and meet new people we have never worked before in a fun way, which makes the idea of school that much better. I have this class first hour, and it is a great "warm up" class to start off my day just right!
ReplyDeleteVideo production is a great class and agree that every person should take the class. It is a class that is very chill and gives a break from the stressful school day. Mr. McClaren is the perfect guy to teach the class as well. He does a great job of creating a atmospshere that is inviting and a great learning enviroment as well. Its a a class that you learn from trial and error by making mistakes it is very informational instead of being spoon fed information. As much as learning about technology and being on the school annoucements is important McClaren does an even better job by being a great resource for students. He relates to his students and does a great job of being aware what is going on and being there for student when they need help.
