Groves vs. Seaholm... THE MATCH

Preview Of the Game MIPREPZONE

I have seen Groves through it all... from the days of playoff-contending Divison 3 QB Joe "The Show" Mayone and RB NMU Commit Keon Collier, to the losing streak days of QB Nick Kizy. Never in my entire four years of high school, or ever in the history of Birmingham sports, have I heard of a more anticipating, nail-biting match than this one. For the first time in HISTORY, both Groves and Seaholm have undefeated, loaded squads that are competing for the gloating and bragging rights of the OAA Division title. The hype has already started with a new bleacher put in as the attendance is expected to be at ablazing 5,000 fans. The game is previewed for the Game of the Week on FOX TV and Mi Prep zone is writing gracious articles on this matchup for the ages (See Hyperlink above). Seaholm student section has been preparing heavily as they try to pressure the home field advantage with a "white-out" theme. The Groves student section will be repping the "black-out" theme with using neon shirts as their "playoff towels." If you think this game doesnt have enough hype already, listen to this. Many scouts I can promise you will be an attendance from big schools such as Big Ten conferences and ACC, something along those lines. Super-star all state projected RB Ross Williams has been lighting up the competition with 7+ 100 yard rushing games and averaging around 245 yards per game. I have been told from a Seaholm souce that they too have division one prospects. Don't forget to count out the beast himself Bryce Anderson. He is a 6-2 205 pound OLB/FB who has been seeing heavy interest from Eastern Michigan and even Purdue. This game is one for the ages, and I highly assure you to attend no matter what the weather looks like. My Prediction: Groves takes home the gold to the falcon's nest with a gut-wrenching 34-28 victory as Ross Williams will exceed the expectations and have 2 rushing touchdowns on the game. Don't be surprised when you try and show up at 6:30 and the lot is full. CANT WAIT.

  1. This is going to be an amazing game. I've never experienced hype like this before about a highschool football game. Both schools are electrified and we are nearing a deadly peak of excitement. I can only wait to see how this one turns out. Obviously, I am in favor of groves due to my enrollment there but I am also interested in seeing how the Seaholm team stands against our star offense with Cherrard and Ross playing at the top of their game. One thing is for certain, this is going to be one hell of a matchup.

  2. I really like to watch football, but to me, high school football is slow and boring. Although I have never been to more than two games in my high school career, I am really interested in the game tonight. I've never seen so much excitement and school spirit at Groves. It seems like everyone is going to be at the game. Attending this game seems to be a very important thing, considering that it could potentially be a staple in the next few years of Groves High School history. This os a game that everyone should attend, even me.

  3. The expectations for this game are through the roof and it's going to be one hell of a battle. With the projected attendance to be 5,000+ fans it's going to get rowdy. With both teams going in undefeated and a school rivalry going on from before i can remember, this one is going to be a for sure nail biter. The school spirit from these two schools is high already and with this game it's going to be unreal. This is our last chance to take a crack at Seaholm for the OAA Division Champs title for us seniors.

  4. This game is going to be a barn burner. Two undefeated cross town rivals going at it for the OAA Blue league championship. I predict a big game from Groves' star running back Ross Williams. After getting shutdown last week against Berkley, Ross will come back this week with a vengeance. I am also looking for the Falcons to work their air attack against the Maples. Zach Van Faussien has been having a good year at QB, and I expect him to continue to have much success. I predict the Falcons will win 41-36 in a tightly contested game.
